Commissioners are elected officials put in office by their constituents. They should be protecting the very citizens that put them in office. Our current board seems to be intoxicated with their power. It is their job to balance the county budget, provide services, take care of the day to day county business, and protect the quality of life to those they represent. There are several groups that are working to persuade the PCBOC to change the current text over lay. Some of them include NO DATA CENTER PAULDING COUNTY GEORGIA, PACCOA, Preserve Paulding, and Protect Paulding County. All of these groups are grass roots efforts focused on stopping large scale data center developments near residential neighborhoods and schools. Many key issues

As of now there is a moratorium on data centers until January 1, 2027.However nothing has been changed in the ordinances stipulating data centers right to build.
